Another Star Trek: TOS icon batch! I am totally infatuated with this show. And it's bright colors insist on being iconned. This batch comes from a few different episodes. You'll notice there's lots of Uhura. Because she kicks ass. Well they all do, but you know. As long as I can keep getting my hands on screencaps, the icons will keep coming.

01. I am so obsessed with So You Think You Can Dance. Luckily so is my sister so I have someone to be a complete fangirl with. Last night's show was of course fabulous. I find myself falling completely in love with Dominic. I love it when he dances and he's just such an adorable ham. Oh and he's a break dancer who can do disco, contemporary, and rumba?! WTFAWESOME. Love him.

02. I posted this once already but I have a reason for posting it again. This is Lacey and Kameron's first performance, an absolutely gorgeous contemporary piece by Mia Michaels. My favorite dance ever. And this is a side-splitting parody of it. It helps that I've known and loved the first dance for a couple weeks now, but it's hilarious either way.

03. This show has made me miss Dance Guild so much. I can't handle the summers without dancing! I'm also thinking how awesome it would be to choreograph my own dance. It would probably end up being some weird contemporary jazzy thing. I don't know if I could handle all the extra time it would require of me during school, and I also don't know where in this house I would feel comfortable and have enough room to try and choreograph anything. Hmm.

04. I watched a fantastic episode of Star Trek: The Original Series yesterday. It had the appropriate amount of cheeziness but it actually tugged at my heartstrings! It helps that I love the characters so much, but honestly, each episode is life or death but for some reason this one really got to me. It was called "The Empath", and one by one Kirk, Spock, and Bones were all determined to sacrifice themselves to save the others. Broke my heart. OMFG and then Bones was dyyyyyiiing and I couldn't handle it because he's my favorite and he looked so awful in pain and GAH.

05. I am an intolerable geek.

06. If you want to see some truly awesome Star Trek cheeze, look up episode 62 "Plato's Stepchildren". About 1/3 of the way in you will witness dancing laughing spazzing Kirk and Spock action. PURE GOLD. And now for the kick ass Star Trek picture of the day:

I finally got around to it. I customized my layout. Yaaay. It's pretty simple, but I like it. Stylesheet by refuted. I whipped up the header; I like it but it's a little odd. The swirly radial blur effect was a complete accident. But I decided it was nifty and left it. This header looks funny with this layout. It's not wide enough. And I'm aware of the funniness to the right of the third image of Saffron. I got a touch lazy as I went, I just wanted to get it done. Oh well.

If you hadn't guessed, I have an extreme soft spot for Saffron, or if you please, Yosafbridge. I'm just positively fascinated by her character, and she kicks ass. And she gets to kiss Mal. So she basically completely pwns.

I also updated my resources in my user info and uploaded a lot more userpics because I got a paid account! Woo, I'm excited.

Tonight or tomorrow I'll be performing my first modly duties at fireflyhush by posting Challenge #62.  Go there now and witness the awesomeness that is this community.

It's fun to have a crush but not when you seem him once a week tops and have to flirt flagrantly to get his attention.

The end of the school year is in sight. I'm still going to have my butt handed to me with all the end-of-the-year assignments and final exams. I am dangerously close to entering summer-mode.

I changed my program. I am now a Psychology major with an International Development Studies minor. More than anything in the world I just want to help people. Sometimes I wonder how I go more than one hour without thinking about all the people in this world that need help.

It has been far too long since I've done anything graphically. Unfortunately, (1) I'm swamped with school work, and (2) I wouldn't be able to use anything I might make anyway because my laptop with Photoshop on it currently will not connect to the internet. I'm excited that I have it back from Dell and the spacebar and touch pad work... I am not excited about no internet. So I'm borrowing my family's laptop; the screen is perpetually blipping and warping. FUN.

In an attempt to abate my graphic drought, I shall post some icons I made a little while ago. Almost all of them were made for fireflyhush .

AND HAPPY MY BIRTHDAY! Hehe. I am 20 today. Crazy.

Yup so it's my birthday. And I have a really sickening amount of stuff to do. And I work tonight 5 to 10:30. This kid gets no break, I tell ya. I could've asked for it off work, but I. . . I just didn't.

I thought that taking only 4 classes at 14 credits (+ Aerobic Dance) would make this semester pretty easy going. I was gravely mistaken. Perhaps I should have factored in the fact that two of those classes are honors sections. Regardless I feel like I just am not going to have a moments rest all semester. I really wish life was set up so that one could at any given point have the possibility of catching up, of actually having accomplished the goals laid out. It just simply doesn't happen. There is always more. Always something I am neglecting.

Like right now. I most go trudge and stagger my way through the literary masterpiece that is Chaucerian Middle English.

So I saw Smokin' Aces a while back. The longer I think about it, the more I love it. Hence iconage. I'm sure there will be many more.

I've had my heart broken twice now. Atleast that I remember vividly, though I suppose its the sort of thing one always remembers vividly. First time was almost exactly a year ago. Second was a few weeks ago. I just found out that my best friend's heart broke for the first time today.
